Community Groups

 
A number of community groups that hold their meetings at Christ Church on various days throughout the week.  Below is a listing of these organizations with a brief description of the group and what the purpose of their meetings are.  You can click on the group's name to visit their organizational website.  Groups that have a website are linked on this page to their home site.


Boy Scouts

Boy Scouting is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness.  Troup 179 of the French Creek Council meets weekly (Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.) in the Fellowship Hall of the church and is open to new members.


Cub Scouts
 

Boys in first grade through fifth grade—or 7 to 10 years old— are able to join the Cub Scouts. This is the first and the biggest of the three Scouting programs (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing) from the Boy Scouts of America.  Pack #26 meets at 5:30 p.m. on the 3rd Friday of each month.
 

Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous is an international, community-based association of recovering drug addicts with more than 33,500 weekly meetings in over 116 countries worldwide. Presently, there are tthree meetings per week, on Tuesday (6PM), Wednesday (8PM) and Friday (8:30PM) at Christ Church.
 

 

Erie Homes for Children & Adults

A private, non-profit multi-faceted organization offering both residential and community services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.
