Organized in 1991 by the West Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church to meet the needs of and bring hope to the Southern West Virginia Coalfields of McDowell, Wyoming, Mercer, Mingo and Logan counties.

Katrina Relief in Mississippi
The gulf coast of our nation remains badly damaged from the hurricanes of past years...notably Katrina in 2005. Much of the press coverage of this natural disaster focused on the impact on New Orleans. However the storm impact was much more widespread...including tremendous damage in the state of Mississippi.
Christ Church sent a team of people to this area during the summer of 2007 to help rebuild one such damaged area in Mississippi. To view pictures from this trip, click here.
